This curriculum meets requirements for new, first-level supervisors with basic supervisory competencies in communicating and managing effectively. It also is a good resource for supervisors requiring a refresher on basic skills.

     1. Leading effectively by setting the pace.
     2. Making the transition from buddy to boss.
     3. Creating a positive culture.
     4. Resolving conflicts.
     5.  Communicating effectively.

      7. Motivating a team.

II.  Being a change agent within the organization. Includes Joel Barker’s landmark video.  How peoples need for social equilibrium impacts new ideas:
     • The value of presenting ideas from the “users” point of view.
     • A ten-step strategy for getting new ideas accepted!
